Analyst® Software Error: Please Enter Positive Numeric Value Only

Issue Description

While selecting manual tune in Analyst® software, an error message appears: Please enter a positive numeric value only. If security privileges have been checked and firmware is up-to-date, the computer's operating system's langue settings may not be set to English, and commas instead of periods could be used for decimal points, which Analyst software does not recognize. To check this, open any method to view what character is being used as a decimal point.



 

Resolution

To resolve this issue, select Clock and Region in the Control Panel. Change the format to English (United States). Select Additional Settings to see what symbol is used as the decimal point. To save the changes, select Apply and OK. Ensure that the decimal symbol is a period.


In order to apply this setting change to current and future user accounts, select the Administrative tab of the Region window, and then click on Copy Settings." Check the boxes for Welcome screen and system accounts and New user accounts.

Lastly, close the Analyst® software and restart the computer. Then reopen Analyst® software to resume normal operation.
