How To Perform A Master-Reset For PA800 Series

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Issue Description

To avoid Problems with 32 Karat Software and its associated errors in transport failures the PA800, PA800
Enhanced and the PA800 PLUS systems have the possibility to perform a Master- Reset. This also applies to MDQ and MDQ PLus
This reset has no influence on Software/System Qualification Status and can be done when needed
and/or on a regular basis (e.g. weekly). With the reset you are not deleting any analysis/system/user
data.

Resolution

1. Switch off device first
2. Press button on back-side of device with a plastic part (e.g. Pipette tip). To avoid short-circuiting
do not use any metal or conductive part (e.g. Pen, screw-driver).
3. Hold the button on back side together with the power button in front pressed for at least 5-6 sec. A beep sound will occur which is normal, which will end as soon as you release both buttons
4. Now let the instrument initialize
