Answer

When Eksigent Control software 4.1 was first released, it was an all-platform software that was compatible with multiple operating systems and had been tested with Thermo Scientific's Xcalibur software 2.x. Recent Eksigent software versions, such as version 4.3, were never specifically tested with the newer software version of Xcalibur, 3.x or 4.x.

Eksigent software version 4.1 is supported on a Windows 7, 64-bit system if the software is configured correctly with Xcalibur software. The latest Eksigent software version, 4.3, is Windows 10 compatible, but it can no longer be configured with any Xcalibur software versions. If Eksigent software 4.3 is configured with Xcalibur software on Windows 10, the following error message appears: Eksigent Driver Configuration Utility: Unable to launch the application due to an unexpected error.

Therefore, Xcalibur software 4.3.73.11 must be installed with Eksigent software 4.3 on a Windows 7, 64-bit system and cannot be installed on a Windows 10 system.
