Unable to Import Batch Files in XLSX Format in the Batch Editor in Analyst® 1.7 Software

Issue Description

An XLSX file is a Microsoft Excel Open XML Format File spreadsheet file. To import a batch file into Analyst® software when building an acquisition batch in the Acquire mode, users can right click on the batch table and then select Import from in the popup menu. There are many different file types listed that can be imported into the batch, including the file type XLSX.

When importing a batch file into Analyst 1.7 software, if the batch file is in the XLSX format, it may cause an error, and the batch file import will not be successful.

Resolution

The XLSX format is only available if the version of Microsoft Office that is installed is a 32-bit application. Users with a 64-bit version of Office will see these batch import errors, and must install additional software components to support XLSX type spreadsheets with Analyst software.
